Builders Cleans

Industrial Cleaning Contractors carries out an extensive range of Builders Cleaning Services, Sparkle Cleans, Contract Cleans, Pre-Entry and Occupation Cleans for many large and medium sized construction companies. These builders cleans are normally carried out during the advanced stages of construction or refurbishment and prior to handover or occupation by their clients. Our builders clean services can vary in size from just a few offices, a warehouse floor, or an entire production facility with cleaning projects lasting from just one day’s attendance or phased works lasting up to a year or more.

Construction sites by nature are inherently dangerous and familiarity with the workings of these environments is very important. For more than 22 years our management, site supervision and operatives have worked within this environment and seen the very considerable changes in the way works are now conducted within this sector, primarily in the interests of increased safety awareness. Our management and staff have to following accreditation.

• Management hold ‘CITB Management Site Safety Scheme Accreditation’
• Site supervision hold ‘CITB Supervisor Site Safety Scheme Accreditation’
• Cleaning operatives hold ‘CSCS’ cards
• CITB accredited IPAF platform operator’s certificates.
• PASMA certification for tower access construction.
• Experienced site management and supervision.
• Operatives are full time and directly employed by Industrial Cleaning Contractors.

Surveying & Costs.

ICC will survey the extent of any works, working with the client’s ‘Schedule of Works’ or make recommendations and provide a bespoke schedule. Based upon this information we will then provide a fixed lump sum cost clearly indicating the extent and limitations of works with no hidden extras or exclusions. Any additional items of cleaning not identified or agreed at the time of the survey will be priced individually again on a lump sum basis. Where ever possible we avoid the inefficient process of ‘Dayworks’, in our opinion it rarely offers the main contractors good value for money.

Documentation & Procedures.

Prior to commence of any works would submit, for approval, a bespoke non generic ‘Site Specific Package’ including,

• Risk Assessments
• COSHH Risk Assessment, COSHH data sheets
• Method Statements
• Safety Induction, site specific
• Produce CSCS Cards, IPAF Cards and PASMA Cards where applicable.

Operatives will read, acknowledge and sign our ‘Site Specific Package’ a copy of which will be supplied to the client. Throughout the work’s duration, site supervision will conduct routine ‘Toolbox Talks’ at regular intervals and our management will attend site at least once per week to ensure compliance of such is strictly adhered to.

Management & Supervision.

This type of work is normally carried at the very last stages of a project when deadlines are tight and financial late penalties may be applicable to the main contractor. We understand the importance of getting it right first time. Our approach is to work with the site management, providing experienced site supervision and labour - all our operatives are full time employees, we do not use agency or casual staff. During the last 22 years we have never been contra-charged by any of our clients for delays, damage caused or otherwise. Our primary objective is to secure repeat business, we will only achieve this is if we complete your project safely, on time, on budget and without incident.
