Kier Western. GKN Aerospace Airbus, Avonmouth.
ICC has recently completed a new contract valued at £85k to carry out specialist cleaning tasks for the construction group Kier Western. The site, consisting of two units, totalling some 30,000 m2 has been extensively adapted for GKN Aerospace to produce and assemble composite wings for the new A350 XWB Airbus airliner.
The newly adapted production environments and specialist Clean Space Areas all required extensive cleaning to a high standard. Some areas required air sampling and cleanliness testing to ensure the very highest standards were achieved. ICC successfully worked with Kier Western management to completed the cleaning of these specialist environments on schedule, budget and without incident.
